Writing memes

Found these on [personal profile] tinny's tumblr and was curious what my own fics would show.

AO3 Writing Meme

What is your total posted word count on AO3? (Go to your Works, then click Statistics.)
20,499 in 9 works

How often do you write?
When inspired? Often. Lately? Not at all. :(

When I watch an ep that inspires me to write, I can usually write a fic in a week.

Do you have a routine for writing?
I like to do it when I'm home alone. Less distractions. I don't really have an actual routine though.

What’s your favorite kinks/tropes/pairing?
Um... it's different based on the fandom really. I'm not sure how to explain. I like strong characters and usually do a dom/sub situation, but the submissive isn't really completely submissive, just not as dominate? I also like one character to have a bit of a dark side.

But I'll write fluffy/happy characters too. ::shrug::

Do you have a favorite fic of yours?
I have no idea.

Your fic with the most kudos?
All In. It has 58 kudos currently. It's part of the Younger fandom. It also has the most hits.

Anything you don’t like about your writing?
Um, I don't like that I've been working on a Labyrinth fic for over a YEAR and still haven't been able to finish it. I get stuck in the middle bits when writing. I'm good with the beginning and the end, but the middle is hard. Unless it's short.

Now something you do like?
I love when a story takes on a life of it's own and goes in directions I didn't expect.

7-7-7 WIP Meme

Go to your current WIP. Find the seventh line on the seventh page and then copy and paste seven sentences.

From my Labyrinth fic (it's in 3 parts right now, so I pulled this from the part that I updated most recently):

It tipped it's head at her and flapped it's wings before becoming a book again, pages flipping in the slight breeze.

She looked at him with wide eyes, “I don't think I can do that.”

“Start with something smaller,” he said, handing her a feather he had conjured. “Close your eyes and focus on what you want it to become. Picture it happening. The more detail you think of, the more real it will become.”

She held the feather in her open palm, taking a deep breath, she closed her eyes.
