More icons!
Apr. 21st, 2016 01:13 pmI downloaded a bunch of images from the British Library yesterday (they have lots of new free images from books that are out of copyright) and spent today playing around with them a bit.
I have no idea what to do with this, but the titles of these booklets needed to be put together. Trashy romance novels of 1892!
I didn't do anything except arrange them in what I thought to be a fun order. :)
I found a few illustrations that just begged to be colorized, so I played around a bit and figured out how to use the watercolor tool! It would work much nicer if I had a fancy drawing tablet, but I thought they turned out pretty nice.
Ha, didn't realize that there was a giant hole in the middle of the dragon one. Oops. It kind of looks like a heart though!
And then I did them in actual icon size. The dragon one loses some detail, so I don't think I'd ever use it as an avatar icon, but the kitty looks super cute in any size!
