Sunday Six
Apr. 5th, 2020 01:28 pmThis has looked like fun, but I hadn't had anything to share! But now that I have a fic that I'm working on, I'm going to do my first entry a bit differently. I want to share a sentence or two of my favorite parts of the story so far instead of the most recent six sentences. I'll do six favorites so that it's still six.
My six favorite parts of my Prodigal Son Dirty Dancing AU:
1) It was the summer before I left for Harvard. We were headed up to a resort in the Catskills; Mother said she wanted to take one last vacation together as a family.
2)She was the most beautiful person Malcolm had ever seen. He startled when the room broke into applause, he hadn't noticed the dance was over.
3)“But here I am, saving watermelons,” Malcolm said with a flourish of his hand, almost dropping the saved melon. He resettled it in his arm, looking up pleadingly, “I won't tell if you won't.”
4)Malcolm looked up at his name and found himself caught in Dani's gaze. “I..I carried a watermelon,” he muttered, immediately closing his eyes in embarrassment.
5)Martin came into view, flanked by police officers, his arms behind his back. Malcolm was rooted to the spot, his eyes glued to his father.
6)Malcolm closed his eyes, feeling her fingers tap out the rhythm of his heart. He focused on the beating of his heart, of her fingers against his.
