Books 2, 3, & 4
Mar. 7th, 2018 02:09 pmI cannot for the life of me get through Scarecrow. I may just skip it and move on to book 10 in the series.
Instead I've read ( It's Not Me, It's You by Stefanie Wilder-Taylor ), ( Saving Grace by Julie Garwood ), and ( Constantine, Hellblazer: Rake at the Gates of Hell )
The first one was ok, didn't really read well since it's just a bunch of memories thrown together, but it was an interesting read. I've watched her stand up a few times, so when I saw her book in the goodwill a couple months ago, I picked it up. It wasn't bad, but I don't know that I would recommend it to anyone.
The second one I bought because I love Julie Garwood. I've read quite a few of her books and tend to just pick them up when I see them. This one was different though. I spent a good portion of it feeling like I had read something very similar to it before. And the story didn't pull me in like most of her books do. I can't really figure out what it was about this book. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't what I was expecting.
The last one was a Christmas gift that I just got around to reading. Nothing super exciting about it, but there was a lot of story build up for the next one.
Overall, my book choices haven't been great lately I guess. I just put a hold on a few from the library, so hopefully those will be good. Not sure when I'll get them though.
