Phantom of the Opera and Books 1-3
Jan. 16th, 2020 01:43 pmI finished Phantom sometime after the first of the year. It was an interesting read. MUCH darker than the musical. And the back story for Erik/Phantom is much more detailed. Overall I enjoyed the story, though it was hard yo follow at times.
Now I'm FINALLY getting into Batman comics. I've wanted to read them for YEARS. But never knew where to start. I got a list of what to read to give a good comprehensive storyline of past to present so I can choose where to go from there. I got some comics from the list a few years ago, but not in order. This year for Christmas I got the book I needed, so I started reading them.
( Batman Year One by Frank Miller )It's basically Bruce Wayne's first year as Batman and how he came to be Batman.
( A Death in the Family by Jim Starlin ) Goes into Robin's back story.
I am currently working my way through ( Batman Knightfall Vol 1 ) This is roughly 20 comics in one, so it's considerably longer than the other two, but covers several villains, focusing on Bane.
