Books 22 & 23
May. 7th, 2021 04:25 pmMy friend and I decided to read the Shadow and Bone series, before we realized it was a new Netflix show. She found Six of Crows online and thought it looked interesting, but after doing some digging we realized it was past of a series and we wanted to start at the beginning. So far we've read the first two and are enjoying them very much. She's watched the show, but I'm holding off until I finish the books in case of spoilers.
( Shadow and Bone by Leigh Bardugo ) This was hard to put down. The characters are done well and the story flows. The plot twist hit me like a punch to the gut.
( Siege and Storm by Leigh Burdago ) No plot twist this time, but the story progresses and we meet new characters. This was a bit more emotional, the stakes are high and there are many struggles.
I'm now waiting for my friend to finish so we can start book 3.
