RIP Kevin Conroy
Nov. 13th, 2022 11:52 amMy love for Batman runs deep. He has always been my favorite Superhero because he was the most human. And I mean that in the sense that everything he did he did from a place of compassion, of empathy, of understanding. He used his skills of logic and knowledge to solve problems (ok, and his money) instead of physical strength. It was something that resonated with me.
And while Micheal Keaton was my first Batman, Kevin Conroy was the one that I got to know. I watched the animated series every day after school. His voice is the one I hear when I read the comics today.
When I read the news of his passing, my heart stopped. The cowl can be passed on, but the world will not be the same. Thank you for gifting the world with your interpretation of this character and for putting so much of yourself in him. <3
