Books 27, 28, 29, 30, & 31
Dec. 15th, 2018 11:58 pmI finished She's Come Undone. I wasn't really very impressed. It wasn't terrible, but I'm not sure I get why people love it so much. Maybe I'm just not the target audience or maybe I'm just missing the point. I don't know.
After that I picked up ( Rebellious Desire by Julie Garwood ). Julie Garwood is one of my go to romance authors. I usually love everything she writes (in the romance genre), but every once in a while I'll stumble on one that isn't as good as the rest. Unfortunately, this one was one of those. I just really didn't like the main male character and was only mildly interested in the main female character.
So then I switched to my Kindle. I had to take my husband to a doctor appointment and it was easier to grab than to try and find a new paperback before walking out the door.
I read ( The Tin Rose by Anne Renwick ). Turned out to just be a quick short story instead of a full ebook, but the story was amazing. The writing was great and managed to pull me into the story. I may try to find the rest of the series. Or at least the book that tells the rest of the story for these characters.
Since that was so short and I still had time to kill in the waiting room, I read ( Ensnared by Rita Stradling ) This was really good as well. I would have liked more information on Lorrcan's past. I feel like there's more that could have been explored there.
Then I moved on to ( The Shadow Rises by K.S. Marsden ) This is another one that was ok, not terrible, but not great either. Pretty predictable and the characters weren't all that endearing. The story itself was interesting, but not enough to make me want to find the rest of the series.
Currently I'm reading ( Archangles MC by Ivy Fox ) I think I'm almost done with it, but I'm never really sure. The page count feature on my Kindle is messed up. But I like the story so far and I'm hoping for a resolution to her past without ruining her future/present life.
