So I put down The Passage a few days ago, and picked up another book.
Special Agent Riley Crane woke up in a beach cottage fully dressed, a gun under her pillow, and covered in blood. Even more frightening, she didn't remember what had happened the night before. She barely remembered anything about the previous three weeks. As the Special Crimes Unit expert on the occult, Riley had been sent to Opal Island by her enigmatic chief Noah Bishop to investigate reports of dangerous occult activity. But she's awoken to discover that she's got a sexy new man in her life and an unreliable memory, and that the clairvoyant abilities she's always depended on to protect her are MIA. Now she'll have to feel her way through a deadly fame of blindman's bluff. For want Riley can't remember is more than enough to cost her her life.
I finished it today. I had a guess on who the killer was about 1/3 of the way through, but I was wrong! Very close, but wrong. This makes me happy. :)
