I've slowly started reading again, but I'm trying to be aware of how long I spend doing it in a day. I finally finished that five book ebook from a while back, so it looks like I've read more than I have.

Paperbacks:

I read On the battlefields of the American Revolution, Matthew de Clermont meets Marcus MacNeil, a young surgeon from Massachusetts, during a moment of political awakening when it seems that the world is on the brink of a brighter future. When Matthew offers him a chance at immortality and a new life free from the restraints of his puritanical upbringing, Marcus seizes the opportunity to become a vampire. But his transformation is not an easy one and the ancient traditions and responsibilities of the de Clermont family clash with Marcus’s deeply held beliefs in liberty, equality, and brotherhood.

Fast-forward to contemporary Paris, where Phoebe Taylor–the young employee at Sotheby’s whom Marcus has fallen for–is about to embark on her own journey to immortality. Though the modernized version of the process at first seems uncomplicated, the couple discovers that the challenges facing a human who wishes to be a vampire are no less formidable than they were in the eighteenth century. The shadows that Marcus believed he’d escaped centuries ago may return to haunt them both–forever. shortly after I finished the All souls Trilogy. It's set right after it, so I'm not sure if that's now a four book series, or how it's going to be as I've heard the author plans seven books in all. I enjoyed the book and it gave more details on some side characters from the other books that I liked.

I recently read . The loneliness and cruelty of Jane’s childhood strengthens her natural independence and spirit, which prove invaluable when she takes a position as a governess at Thornfield Hall. But after she falls in love with her sardonic employer, her discovery of his terrible secret forces her to make a heart-wrenching choice. It wasn't what I was expecting. Everything I've ever heard about it makers it out to be super dark and mildly terrifying. It was neither. But I'm wondering if I got an edited version? The language felt wrong, like it was too modern. So maybe I got a version that was used in schools or something.

Ebooks:

I finally finished the . ITSY BITSY SPIDER (Emma Frost Book 1):

˃˃˃ MISS POLLY HAD A DOLLY (Emma Frost Book 2):

Miss Polly had a dolly. A beautiful daughter that she called her Baby Doll. Every day she dressed her in dresses and brushed her hair before they went outside to show off to the neighbors. On the playground one day her Baby Doll talked to a boy, and for one unforgivable second, Miss Polly let herself be distracted by a woman telling her how adorable she thought her daughter was. When Miss Polly finally turned to look for her Baby Doll, she was gone.

Many years later Emma Frost hears about the disappearance of the little girl and learns that she is not the only one to have gone missing from Fanoe Island back in the nineties. As she digs deeper into the story, she soon finds herself entangled in a web of strange and very disturbing events.

˃˃˃ CROSS YOUR HEART AND HOPE TO DIE (Emma Frost Book 4)

Well, for Emma Frost that is exactly what it becomes when she is invited to meet with all of her old classmates at a desolated hotel in the most Northern part of Denmark. Soon, she will learn that there was more to this reunion than just them catching up on old times as a dark secret from their mutual past is revealed.

˃˃˃ PEEK A BOO, I SEE YOU (Emma Frost Book 5)

The body of a woman found in front of Nordby City Hall has a message for Emma Frost carved into the skin. Behind this ruthless murder stands a ghostly figure that likes to play childish games. Soon, this killer brings a reign of terror to the small Danish Island and especially to the life of Emma Frost.

While Emma's personal life is in a mess, she also has to hunt down a cruel predator who seems to be targeting people with serious mental illnesses.I really enjoyed this series. Some of it is a little unbelievable, but overall I liked the characters and each storyline was different.

He’s handsome, reliable, and punctual—the perfect gentleman when you want him to be. But this dream man is Death’s best agent—and now he’s got more than his soul to lose…

One act of mercy before dying was all it took to turn soldier David Anderson into a reaper—an immortal who guides souls-of-untimely-death into the afterlife. But the closer he gets to atoning for his mortal sin and finally escaping merciless Fate, the more he feels his own humanity slipping away for good. Until he encounters Sarah Griffith. This skeptical scientist can’t be influenced by his powers—even though she has an unsuspected talent for sensing the dead. And her honesty and irreverent sense of humor reignite his reason for living—and a passion he can’t afford to feel. Now Fate has summoned David to make a devastating last harvest. And he’ll break every hellishly-strict netherworld rule to save Sarah...and gamble on a choice even an immortal can’t win. was interesting. I like the idea of there being more than one reaper and that it's used as a way for souls to earn redemption.

I just finished She finally has a man inside her, just not the way she imagined.

Hailey loved to read. Who doesn't?

Unfortunately, her new Kindle arrived pre-loaded with a 240-year-old enforcer from another dimension.

Now, he's possessing her.

If you love snarky heroines, hot, kick-ass supernaturals, magic and some mayhem, Special Offers is for you!
(Possession by supernatural enforcer not included where prohibited by law or natural order) This took some time to get into. The main character's life is so terribly boring and I don't think the job she has exists. But if you ignore that part, the rest is pretty interesting. People from another dimension with magic, an epic fight, romance.

I feel like Charlotte Bronte is not that old, so the language wasn't that weird to me, either. Definitely much easier to read than Austen, for example (even though they're not that far apart either).

I think people found other things scary back then. But I did like the description of her losing her mind and wandering over the moor and heath. The whole book was worth it for that. I love me some unreliable narrators. :D

If you want to check, there are free versions online, since the book is so old. You can compare it to the version you read.
