Free and Discounted eBooks

I think I've mentioned here before that I get a lot of my ebooks free, but I don't think I've ever mentioned how I get them. With stores and libraries closed down, it might not be so easy to get new reading material. For those that have eReaders, here are a couple sources I use.
I find classics in the "public domain" section of the Kindle store. Anything published BEFORE 1924 is free. The hard part is not being able to just search for a title. If you enter the title you want, Amazon will automatically give you a list of things to buy. You have to enter "free public domain books" into the search bar and then just browse. There are 40,000 titles available. Sometimes I like to just flip through and download any titles that sound interesting.
For newer books, I use Book Rebel. I get an email every day with a list of books in the genres I've selected. Every book is either discounted or free for a short time (though some times I've found once I get to Amazon, they're full price, so verify before clicking "buy"). The books are usually the first book in an ongoing series, though sometimes I've seen them list the second or third book.
Happy reading!
