Icons!

I've been struggling to feel inspired/creative for quite a while. Nothing has really been grabbing my attention. But today I felt like playing around with some icons I had tried to make before from song lyrics. I'm pretty happy with how they turned out.



They're both inspired by song lyrics from The Amazing Devil.

Lovely! I like the text work a lot - but texts are very well readable, and I like the contrast between the blocky text and the small italic one in #1, and the matching coloring of the text and the "scars" on the bust in #2. (I'd like to think you've have improved, but of course it's hard to tell from two samples).

I was really surprised how well the block font worked. I wanted to use it because it has a burned look to it and also it's called "scorched earth"so it seemed fitting. But the way the light in the back really just pops was unexpected.
