Writing my Own Story

While it isn't nearly as pretty as the ones I see all over Tumblr, I made an icon (banner?) set! I have another one in mind to do, but it will have to wait. My back, tailbone are really sore from sitting hunched over my laptop. :(

I did the first one yesterday and the other two today.





All screen caps came from genrecaps.net (except the background of the last one, that came from Colin O'Donoghue.COM) and the song lyrics are from "Ten Days" by Missy Higgins.

Decided I would play around with icons some more. Chose to do some X-Files in early celebration of the show coming back (even if it is only for a short time).

I found a blog online the other day that said that putting lotion around your nails before painting helped with the clean up after. I was unsure if this would work or not, but I figured I'd try it.

It totally works! I had to apply lotion twice, but that's because my skin was super dry and by the time I finished the last nail, the first one had absorbed all the lotion. :/

It recommended using a q-tip to clean up the polish after, but I waited until my nails were completely dry and used a wooden cuticle pusher to clean it off. It peeled right off!
